LGE Community Credit Union has announced a long-term partnership with the Cobb County Safety Village Foundation to support and promote safety education for Cobb County citizens. The partnership involves LGE becoming a major sponsor of the Cobb County Safety Village, an educational facility aimed at teaching critical safety skills in a fun and interactive environment.

Chris Leggett, president and CEO of LGE Community Credit Union, expressed the organization's commitment to community service, stating, “At LGE, we are committed to giving back to the communities we serve. We believe that safety education is essential for everyone, and we are proud to partner with the Cobb County Safety Village to help keep Cobb County residents safe.”

The Cobb County Safety Village is equipped with reduced-scale buildings, streets, and traffic signals that simulate a real town environment, offering children and families the opportunity to learn about fire safety, pedestrian safety, bicycle safety, and more through role-playing scenarios and hands-on exercises.

As part of the partnership, LGE will be adding its own building to the Safety Village’s 8-acre property later in 2024. A groundbreaking ceremony marking the beginning of this collaboration was hosted by LGE leadership and members of the Safety Village Foundation board of directors at the site of the new LGE building last month.

The initiative underscores LGE Community Credit Union's dedication to community well-being and safety education, aligning with the mission of the Cobb County Safety Village Foundation to provide valuable safety skills and knowledge to the residents of Cobb County.
